Hello, LiveJournal.
Long time no see. How have you been, my completely ignored, internet, blogging account? I haven't been around much. Well, at least not logged into you! I've been running around dealing with work in the real world (retail, retail, retail) and work in the cyber worlds, too (farming virtual crops, checking in on my "sim" restaurant and the like). Actually, that second part doesn't take up too much of my time as of late. No, really. It doesn't.
Most of my time has really been focused on the radio show. Yes, it is back. What? You hadn't heard about that?! Well, the show airs once again on Saturday nights, but starts an hour later now. We currently broadcast from 7pm-10pm Eastern Time.
I would have loved to keep up with your feeds of what has been going on in all my LJ friends' lives, but I have spent a fair amount of time designing the radio show's new website. There is still more to be done (like the spectacular new request pages!) and I just haven't been able to put aside that extra moment to keep up with all you have to offer. Finally, we have gotten rid of that horrible HTML site. Many of my peoples will be very happy to hear about that! I can only hope you feel the same...
Wow. My poor LiveJournal. You must surely think I hate you now.
I do not, I promise! Things may be hectic in my life right now, but that is often how I prefer things to be. Else, I tend to get bored with everything. Other projects involving the show will continue to take up my time (I'm completely wiping my computer and starting from scratch, bulking up the music library to move away from that nitch of music I've been stuck in for the last couple of years and then working on the show direction as a whole). Even with all of these things, please don't think I have forgotten about you completely.
Did I mention the boy? Ah, yes. I have one of those now, too. He also deserves a fair chunk of my time and will undoubtedly gain more of it than you. Again, I beg of you to understand. Do not lose all hope, my friend! When he's all wrapped up in his game of City Of Heroes and there is nothing for me to watch on TV, then odds are good that I will drop by to see how you are doing...
Oh wait.
Fall TV starts soon! Supernatural already premiered and more shows are right on its heals! I'm really looking forward to returners Dollhouse, Fringe and Supernatural (of course!). New shows that have me itching with curiosity include Flash Forward, the remake of "V" and the new spin off of NCIS. Oh there is so much that I can just not wait to see!
Hrmm. Again, I find myself distracted. Where were we?
Oh, yes. Oddly enough, we were discussing how much I have ignored you, my dearly beloved LiveJournal. What does the future have in store for us? Well, I'm going on a short trip for a few days and then, when I return, I will be knee deep in building my computer back up. We have a very fun show planned for Saturday, September 26th. It's Kurt's 21st! Much booze and fun should be had by all! Then, I will rebuild the music library and get the new request pages working. Plan a few social events AND start on a new project I am working with on the side...
SOMEwhere in the midst of all of that, I should be able to direct some of my attention back to you. Oh, dear LiveJournal. Please understand my situation. There is much to do and much to come... but I need your support if this is ever going to work!
Thank you for taking the time to listen to what I've had to say. You have always held a special place in my heart (and hard drive). We've shared so much over the years... sometimes, probably more than we should have shared in a public space, but what can one do about the past? You've always been there when I needed to get something off my chest and you've always let me know when someone had something to say about me. You've even been quick to point out when naked pictures of me accidentally ended up being "slide-showed" on someone's office wall during a meeting.
There is so much we have been through together. Just allow me this time to get myself sorted out and caught up with all that is spinning around me right now... and I promise, I will come straight back to you!
Now, you don't mind if I re-post this to my FaceBook and MySpace accounts... do you?
